How Miss Talia Spends Her Days

I just woke up. Can you tell?

I am only interested in watching cartoons when I am not fully awake. When I am awake I am way more interested in exploring than sitting and watching cartoons.

I can feed myself. It doesn't matter that most of it does not end up in my mouth.

I am very good at standing now. I can walk along the sofa, but I'm not ready to try to take steps on my own yet.

Key West

This was at the beginning of our journey. It was also one of the few times that Talia would sleep. There was too much going on in the airports and airplanes for her to take a nap even though many times she was very tired.

At the Atlanta airport before our flight to Miami we spotted Adam Richman sitting behind us. He is the host of the Travel Network show Man vs. Food that Jon and I watch.

On our first day in Key West we went to the beach. It was a little chilly for the baby and she really didn't understand it.

Natalia also didn't really understand what she was supposed to do in the pool when we put her in for the first time.

Talia had a lot more fun the second time in the pool. It was also much warmer for her to be in the water.

Her second time to the beach was also more successful. She actually grabbed some handfuls of sand instead of just staring out with a confused look on her face.

Getting Ready for Vacation

This is my break week from school. I have been busy cleaning and organizing the condo as well as getting ready for our vacation. Little Talia is ready for the beach with her hot pink toes. She is also able to balance standing by herself sometimes. She uses the sofa and the baracade we've set up in the living room to walk. At her doctor's appointment today the pediatrician told me she should be walking by 12 months and if she isn't she is not walking by choice. She is perfectly proportional in the 50th percentile for weight and height at 19 lbs. 1 oz. and 28 inches tall.

Christmas

Natalia's first Christmas this year was over Thanksgiving in Stephen with my parents. We were planning on spending Christmas in Minneapolis, so Talia got to open presents then.

Her second Christmas was when Jon's grandparents came to visit. She got this adorable coat and hat. The outfit also came with a muff that you can see on the floor.

We ended up going back to Stephen over Christmas so that Jon could put down new flooring in my parents' kitchen. We had our final Christmas last Sunday with his family.

You can see all over her new toys around her and there she is chewing on the book that came with one of her outfits.
