Natalia and I went on a little outing downtown this morning. When we left it looked like to was about to rain so we decided to take the skyway to keep dry. I finished my Spring quarter of school yesterday when I completed my managerial accounting final, so I went to the textbook sellback. They only took back one book and told me to try again next time for the others. They didn't take the other three last quarter either so I may just give up and keep them. While we were out we decided to do a little shopping. We stopped by Macy's and found Natalia a cute dress that was on sale. We also went to Target where I found her a diaper cover to go under her christening gown. I also found these baby leg warmers that I love. I think they are so cute and great to have on hand to keep her legs warm. It's nice because I can put them on Natalia when we are inside and the air conditioning is on, but they are easy to take off when we go outside. I think that they will also be good for her knees when she starts crawling.

Father's Day

This weekend we finally finished the floor. Jon finished putting on all of the trim on Saturday and that night we were able to put all of the furniture back and clean. The floor turned out really great and changes the look of the place. Natalia had her pictures taken last week and we were able to pick them up on Friday. We needed to get some frames so that we could put her pictures out. On Sunday, Jon's first Father's Day, we had a little outing to Ikea. We found a couple of frames that we liked and a rug for our kitchen. We went to Burlington next to see if we could find a nice 10 x 13 frame, but they just had photo collage frames. They did have a nice selection of rugs, and we found one to put under our coffee table and one for the entry way. After our shopping trip we went over to Jon's parents' house, had lunch, and visited with his mom. We then came home and relaxed. It was the first day in about a week and a half that we didn't have to do any work on the floor. I tried to take a picture of the three of us and the results were pretty entertaining.

Flooring

Jon and I have spent the last week redoing the floors in the condo. It has been a long process of ripping up carpet and laying down laminate, but we are almost finished. We are not entirely sure how old the carpet was, but after seeing all the dirt underneath it and seeing how many things have been spilt on it throughout the years, I'm glad that it is gone before Natalia starts crawling. We are in the process of painting the baseboards and shoe molding and then Jon will install them. There is dust everywhere from Jon sawing the laminate, but once we finish the baseboards the saw can leave and we can begin the process of cleaning and putting our home back in order. Natalia and Lola will both be happy to see the saw go. Neither one seems to be too crazy about the noise it makes.

Talia is getting bigger each day. I cannot believe that she is almost three months old already. She is trying to learn how to roll over. If she is laying on her stomach she can roll over to her back about 25% of the time, but only if she goes to the right. She tries to roll from her back to her tummy but only gets about a quarter of the way. You can tell she really wants to be moving and can't figure out why her body won't do what she wants it to. She is finally sleeping through the night. She will sleep for about 7 to 8 hours before waking up which is good for her and great for us.
